“Our success is be measured by the many stories and memories that the clients have shared passing through the doors of the CTICC Vaccination Centre of Hope,” says Head of Western Cape Government Health, Dr Keith Cloete.

As at Wednesday, 1 December, 136 518 clients had been vaccinated at the centre. As originally planned, the closure of the facility is a result of greater flexibility adopted by the Department of Health in taking the vaccines to the people. A shift in resources has been prioritised so that community pop-up vaccination sites and outreaches are increased.

Vaccination remains our best protection against COVID-19. Clients in the City Bowl are encouraged to get their vaccination at the District Six Community Day Centre between 08:00 and 14:00, Monday to Friday. Please visit our Facebook page ( to see find details of the many easily accessible vaccination sites in your area.

Western Cape Government Health thanks its partners, healthcare workers, and the teams behind the scenes who made this partnership possible.
