The Western Cape Government endorses the Covid19 vaccine programme COVID-19 vaccines have been rigorously tested, and have been found to be safe, and effective, providing excellent protection against serious COVID-19 related illness and death. You can find out more about the vaccines used in South Africa and their efficacy on our website. The WCG urges residents to get information from reliable, official sources, and to avoid spreading information that is misleading and false. The vaccination programme is the most important tool we have to beat COVID-19 and to save lives in the Western Cape. Fake news on vaccinations undermines this incredibly important effort. To find official, verified information on the vaccine, visit www.westerncape.gov.za, www.sahpra.org.za or www.who.int
