Yes. Vaccination is available to all pregnant and breastfeeding women. You can have the vaccine at any stage of your pregnancy. COVID-19 can be serious during pregnancy, especially in older women, or those with pre-existing hypertension, diabetes, or obesity.

With an injection in your upper arm. Some vaccines require two doses and you will be given a date to come back for the second dose.

• A COVID-19 vaccine booster shot is a dose of the vaccine that may be given after the completion of a full vaccination schedule [two doses of the Pfizer vaccine or single dose of the Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine] to boost the immune response.

• Any adult (person older than 18 years) who received the primary dose of J&J or the primary two doses of Pfizer are eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot. Those who received J&J can receive a booster of either J&J or Pfizer after 60 days and again after a further 90 days. Those who received Pfizer can receive a booster shot of either J&J or Pfizer after 90 days, and most recently those over 50 years are eligible for another booster dose after 120 days.

• Immunosuppressed individuals are eligible for additional doses if recommended by their doctors.

• Our vaccination sites accept walk-in appointments, provided that you are eligible to receive your vaccine or booster. Please access your nearest vaccination site and the friendly staff will assist you.

• You should still be vaccinated.
• Wait until 4 weeks after testing positive for COVID-19 before getting the vaccine.
• If you were hospitalised with COVID-19, consult your healthcare worker about when it would be safe to get the vaccine.

Even after you received the vaccination, you must continue with COVID-19 prevention measures, such as wearing a mask, keep a physical distance from other people, avoiding crowds and confined spaces, and washing your hands regularly. We must protect those who have not been vaccinated.

• The EVDS is a national system that schedules vaccination appointments for those who have registered by sending an SMS with appointment details.
• The system finds the closest available site to the person who registered, from those available sites that are active.
• As more vaccines arrive, more sites will come online. This will result in more appointments being scheduled at sites closer to where you live.
